Who We Are
SOBA 89 is the class chapter of the Sasse Old Boys Association (SOBA) for the boys who graduated from St. Joseph’s College Sasse, Buea, in 1989. Founded by the Mill Hill Missionaries, Sasse has shaped generations of leaders in Cameroon and beyond, and our class is proud to be part of that story.
Today we are 90 active members living in Cameroon, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and across Africa. Where other SOBA chapters are organized by geography, SOBA 89 is organized by class: if you finished Sasse in 1989, this is your home, wherever you live.
Our Mission
- Keep every member of the Class of 89 connected and informed.
- Support one another in family events, business and career.
- Mentor younger Sasse Old Boys and current students.
- Give back to St. Joseph’s College Sasse through class projects.
Our Values
Brotherhood, integrity, service and excellence: the values we learned on the Sasse hill.
